About Reading & Radio Resource

Our Mission

News Editor
John Scott

The mission of Reading & Radio Resource is to enrich the lives of children and adults who - because of physical, learning or vision limitations - cannot read for themselves. The staff, volunteers and donors of Reading & Radio Resource achieve this mission by:

  • Producing and distributing high-quality recordings of textbooks, enrichment literature, and vocational and motivational materials to schools, libraries, service agencies and individuals at either no cost or the lowest cost possible.
  • Producing and broadcasting informational programs, community updates and readings of newspapers, magazines, newsletters and books over a local radio channel 365 days a year.
  • Partnering with the other non-profit agencies, businesses, healthcare providers, teachers and families to identify and serve as many listeners as possible.
  • Exploring the use of new technologies and media to meet the growing needs and special requests of more people efficiently and cost-effectively.
